You must use 보고 싶다 only even though you can see 보고파 in lyrics and poem. '~고파' is shorten expression of '~고 싶다', nowadays normal Korean usually do not use. However, '고파' is used for song lyrics frequently, in order to fit rhythm. Ppl don't use it verbally so much mainly cause how similar it sounds to 배고파. Personally, using 보고파 is cringy as it is obvious the person mispronounced the word 배고파 or trying to act cutesy with the word (saying 보고 싶어 is more sufficient/romantic) 뿐 only want to see : 보고 싶다 > 보고 싶을 (I miss you) mi manchi want to see : 보고 프다 > 보고 플 보고플 뿐인데  but the only thing I want to see ㄹ makes verb into adjective 만나다 > 만날 날 (the day to meet) 공부하다 > 공부할 시간(the time to study) 읽다 > 읽을 책(the book to read) 앉다 > 앉을 의자(the chair to sit on) 이것은 제가 읽은 책이에요.
